Troop D
Headquartered in Hays, Troop D consists of 18 counties in northwest Kansas. Interstate Highway 70, traditionally considered a narcotics pipeline directly linking the coasts, runs through Troops A, B, C, and D. Because of I-70, Troop D members are often busy investigating criminal interdiction cases to prevent illegal narcotics shipments from reaching their intended destinations.
In addition, Troop D’s pilots and aircraft often assist with surveillance, searches, traffic enforcement, and transportation.
