Troop I contains the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program; the Critical Highway Accident Response Team; all Motor Carrier Inspection personnel and weigh inspection stations; and the Breath Alcohol Unit.
To protect consumers, discourage auto theft, and prevent the trafficking of stolen auto parts, the Motor Vehicle Enforcement (MVE) program conducts inspections on certain vehicles before they receive a Kansas title and registration.
The Professional Standards Unit receives and processes complaints against agency employees or procedures, insuring that employees are afforded due process, to insure uniformity in their application, and identifying training and supervisory needs.
