Law Enforcement Working Group

The Kansas Law Enforcement Resources Working Group (KLERWG) has been chartered by the Commission on Emergency Planning and Response (CEPR) to integrate statewide Law Enforcement training and deployable resources with the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

Representatives from Local and State law enforcement agencies, along with the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police, Kansas Sheriffs' Association, and Kansas Peace Officers Association, first met on July 15, 2010, in Hutchinson, Kansas. The group will be developing standards for specialized law enforcement training, the credentialing of law enforcement officers and typing of specialized law enforcement teams.
