Basic Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) training provides new SWAT officers the opportunity to learn basic tactical operations theory and develop a level of proficiency in common SWAT operations. The course provides participants with a solid understanding of basic SWAT concepts and operations.
The SWAT Basic School is designed to give new operators the confidence and knowledge to start their SWAT career. It will teach a multitude of topics to include: Multiple clearing techniques (2x2, deliberate entry, breach and hold, contain and callout, dynamic entry) SWAT equipment and use, mindset, communication, high risk warrant service, barricaded subjects, hostage rescue, active countermeasures, range drills, inner perimeter, emergency response team, large structure clearing, less lethal use, and vehicle deployment techniques, and much more.
Please bring your own entry gear, to include: tactical uniform, helmet, eye and ear protection, tactical vest, gloves, belt, and gas mask. You will

This class is for the LEO who has completed the intermediate accident investigation course, mastered the basic accident investigation techniques, and is ready to progress to the next level of analysis. Its purpose is to prepare a student to reconstruct traffic crashes. Upon successful completion of this class, participants will be able to use and interpret the information and data available to them, generally gathered in lower levels of traffic crash investigation, to discover undetected facts and use their knowledge to deduce the circumstances that will affirm or refute a theory of how the collision happened. The course materials use numerous mathematical and physics formulas, so a proficiency in algebra is helpful.
