**During the 2011 Legislative Session, HB 2192 amended KSA 8-116a regarding the VIN Inspection fees. The amendment, which becomes effective July 1, 2011, will allow the Kansas Highway Patrol to increase the fee for a routine out of state inspection from $10.00 to $15.00. The fee for a salvage to rebuilt salvage inspection will increase from $15.00 to $20.00
