"All-terrain vehicle" means any motorized nonhighway vehicle with the following:
- Measures 50 inches or less in width
- Has a dry weight of 1,500 pounds or less
- Travels on three or more non-highway tires. Non-highway tires means any pneumatic tire six inches or more in width, designed for use on wheels with rim diameter of 14 inches or less.
- Has a seat designed to be straddled by the operator

Insurance
City may require
- May be driven on county / township roads and within the city limits, if
allowed by the city.
- The county, KDOT or persons contracting with the government to
eradicate weeds may operate an ATV along the rights-of-way of
federal and state highways, and incidentally operate upon such highways.
Lights, as required for motorcycles required between sunset and sunrise.
- On any federal or state highways.
- On any interstate highway.
