Shoulder Patch

Patch

The shoulder patch identifies the Trooper as an officer of the Kansas Highway Patrol. It also represents the people and history of Kansas. In the middle of the shoulder patch is a farmer working in a field. This represents the rich agricultural history of the state. A covered wagon and buffalo can also be seen. They represent the days when Kansas was open prairie land roamed by wild game and used as a route for settlers traveling to California, Arizona and other locations.
