PARTNERS Program - Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a fee?
No, this is a free service provided by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Why can't I order direct?
Because Federal code provides for one state point of contact (SPOC) to administer the program on behalf of state and local units of government.
What federal agencies are involved in the PARTNERS Program?
The United States Army, Department of Justice (DOJ), Defence Logistics Agency (DLA), and the General Services Administration (GSA) are active PARTNERS participants.
What forms of payment are acceptable?
Initially, the PARTNERS Program will only accept checks. We are working toward accepting government credit cards. Personal checks and Purchase Orders (P.O.) are not accepted.
Do our department's point of contact and the alternate have to be certified Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs)?
No. There just has to be one certified officer employed by your department to be eligible for the PARTNERS Program.
Are private schools eligible?
No. Only local and state units of government (e.g.: school districts, townships, counties, etc.) are eligible.
Are there any restrictions on using the items available through the PARTNERS Program?
Yes. Items must be used for COUNTER-DRUG activities.
