Stucky Promoted to Lieutenant

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Master Trooper Michael A. Stucky was promoted to lieutenant on February 13, 2005. Remaining in Ness City, he is now the west region zone supervisor for Troop I.

Stucky joined the Patrol in June of 1979 and was a trooper in Scott City. In 1980, he transferred to Ness City. Stucky was promoted to master trooper in 1992. During his tenure with the Patrol, he has been a field training officer, Troop I Kansas State Troopers Association director, and an associate instructor with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Since 2001, Stucky has taught commercial vehicle inspection procedures to law enforcement officers at the Patrol’s Training Academy in Salina.

Prior to joining the Patrol, Stucky was a truck driver was Brazo Transportation in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. He graduated from Kingman High School in Kingman, Kansas, and received his associates degree in medical technology from Pratt Community College.
