Johnson and Wyandotte Counties Receive New Trooper

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Brian R. Grunder to Johnson and Wyandotte counties. Trooper Grunder received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol’s Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Grunder graduated from Winfield High School in Winfield, Kansas. He received his bachelors degree in psychology from Southwestern College. Between 2002 and 2004, he served as deputy sheriff for the Cowley County Sheriff’s Department in Winfield.

Trooper Grunder has begun his field duties under the supervision of Master Trooper David Morrison. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Grunder will assume patrol duties in Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
