Johnson and Wyandotte Counties Receive New Trooper

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Nicholas B. Wright to Johnson and Wyandotte counties. Trooper Wright received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol’s Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Wright graduated from Blue Springs South High School in Blue Springs, Missouri. Prior to joining the Patrol, he served as a police officer with the Shawnee Police Department in Shawnee, Kansas. He was also a dispatcher for the Independence Police Department in Independence, Missouri.

Trooper Wright has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Matthew Payne. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Wright will assume patrol duties in Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
