Lytton Promoted To Technical Trooper

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Trooper Allan Lytton was promoted to technical trooper and was assigned as the public resource officer for the Patrol's Troop D on October 9, 2005.

Lytton joined the Patrol on July 10, 2000, as a trooper performing road patrol duties in the Russell area. As a member of the Patrol, Lytton has served as a car stops instructor and recruit coach at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina. Lytton received a Commanders Commendation in 2004 for exemplary service and significant contribution to the Patrol's mission and goals. As Troop D's public resource officer, Lytton will be the agency's media contact for the area and will specialize in safety presentations, child safety seat fittings, and recruitment. Lytton now works out of the Troop D headquarters' officer in Hays.

Lytton is a graduate of Augusta Senior High School, Augusta, Kansas. He has an associate's degree from Butler County Community College and a bachelor's degree from Wichita State University in secondary education. Before joining the Patrol, Lytton was a teacher and coach with USD 219 in Minneola.
