Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Andrew C. Peterson to Johnson and Wyandotte counties. Trooper Peterson received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Peterson is a graduate of Wichita Northwest High School. He has a bachelor's degree in sociology/criminology from the University of Oklahoma. During his studies, Trooper Peterson had an internship with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Norman Probation and Parole Office.
