Ruble Promoted to Technical Trooper

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Trooper David G. Ruble was promoted to Technical Trooper and assigned as a full-time instructor at the KHP Training Academy in Salina. He was promoted on Jan. 1, 2006.

Ruble joined the Patrol on March 22, 1999, as a trooper performing road patrol duties in the Concordia area. He transferred in January 2003 to the Fort Scott area, where he performed road patrol duties until his recent promotion to technical trooper.

As a member of the Patrol, Ruble has served as a Range Master in Troop C (North Central Kansas) and Troop H (Southeast Kansas), and has been a member of the Patrol’s Special Response Team (SRT). Ruble has been active in working with new troopers who join the Patrol. He has been a recruit class coach, a field training officer to two new troopers, and a firearms instructor at the Training Academy.

Ruble is a graduate of Fort Scott High School in Fort Scott, Kan. Prior to joining the Patrol, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps infantry as a corporal, and he was deputy sheriff in Bourbon County.
