Hutchison Promoted to Lieutenant
Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Master Trooper Michael N. Hutchison was promoted to lieutenant on Feb. 26, 2006. As a lieutenant, Hutchison has been assigned as a zone supervisor in Hutchinson.
Hutchison joined the Patrol on July 18, 1984 as a trooper assigned road patrol duties in Lyons. He was promoted to master trooper in June 1995 and continued to patrol the Lyons area. He transferred in October 2000 to Hutchinson, where he continues to serve. As a member of the Patrol, Hutchison was a field training officer for trooper trainees in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005.
Hutchison is a graduate of Lee’s Summit High School in Lee’s Summit, Mo. He studied law enforcement at Missouri Western State College. Prior to joining the Patrol, Hutchison was a patrolman with the Cameron Police Department in Cameron, Mo.
