Sherman County Receives New Trooper

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Eric Hodges to Sherman County. Trooper Hodges received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol’s Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Hodges graduated from Flint Hills Christian School in Manhattan, Kan. He currently serves in the security forces of the Kansas Air National Guard and holds the rank of staff sergeant. As a member of the KANG, Hodges served in Operations Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, Northern Watch and Iraqi Freedom. Prior to joining the Patrol, he was a reserve police officer with the Wamego Police Department.

Trooper Hodges has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Joseph Greene. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Hodges will assume patrol duties in Sherman County.
