Sedgwick County Receives New Trooper
Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Aaron McGuire to Sedgwick County. Trooper McGuire received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol’s Training Academy in Salina.
Trooper McGuire graduated from Caney Valley High School in Caney, Kan. He has an associate’s degree from Coffeyville Community College, and studied criminal justice at Wichita State University. Prior to joining the Patrol, McGuire was a loss prevention officer at J.C. Penney’s in Wichita. He was a Law Enforcement Explorer for two years with the Coffeyville Police Department and for six months with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office. McGuire also is a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
Trooper McGuire has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Kale Collins. Upon completion of field training, Trooper McGuire will assume patrol duties in Sedgwick County.
