Johnson and Wyandotte Counties Receive New Trooper
Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Daniel Siebenmorgen to Johnson County. Trooper Siebenmorgen received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol’s Training Academy in Salina.
Trooper Siebenmorgen graduated from Hiawatha High School in Hiawatha, Kan., and has an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Highland Community College. Prior to joining the Patrol, Siebenmorgen was an officer with the Hiawatha Police Department. While employed with the Hiawatha Police Department, Siebenmorgen attended the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, and received the Officer of the Year award in 2005 and an Outstanding Service Award in 2004.
Trooper Siebenmorgen has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Michael Gruber. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Siebenmorgen will assume patrol duties in Johnson County.
Trooper Rumsey has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper James Oehm. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Rumsey will assume patrol duties in Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
