Hummell Promoted to Public Service Administrator

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Dixie L. Hummel was promoted to Public Service Administrator (PSA) I on June 18, 2006.

Hummel joined the Patrol on July 21, 1986, as a Capitol Area Guard I with the Capitol Police in Topeka. She was promoted to Capitol Area Guard II in 1991, and promoted again in 1997 to Communications Specialist Supervisor. With her recent promotion to PSA I, Hummel has transferred to Troop M in Salina, and serves as a shift supervisor at the Patrol's Central Communications Center.

Hummel is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, and she studied physical education at Washburn University.
