Wilson Promoted to Law Enforcement Officer
Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Capitol Area Guard Crystal Wilson was promoted to Law Enforcement Officer I and assigned law enforcement duties within the Capitol Police in Topeka. She was promoted on July 30, 2006.
Wilson joined the Patrol on November 22, 2004, as a Capitol Area Guard in Topeka. As a Capitol Area Guard, Wilson assisted with security at the Statehouse and Capitol Complex. As a Law Enforcement Officer I, Wilson will investigate crimes, enforce traffic laws, patrol state parking lots, and regulate traffic flow on state property in Topeka.
Wilson is a graduate of Emporia High School in Emporia, Kan. She graduated from Emporia State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
