Holsey Retires from the Patrol

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Lieutenant Eldon D. Holsey retired from the Patrol on December 16, 2006. Lieutenant Holsey served the citizens of Kansas for over 25 years.
Holsey joined the Kansas Highway Patrol as a trooper in June 1981 and was assigned to road patrol duties in the Wichita area. He was promoted to Pilot I in 1984 and was assigned to aircraft operations in Wichita. In 1996, Holsey was promoted to Master Trooper and joined the Patrol's Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP). As a member of MCSAP, Holsey was promoted to lieutenant in 2000 and became the MCSAP central region supervisor.
Holsey is a graduate of Wichita South High School in Wichita. He has an associate's degree in criminal justice from Butler County Community College, and he studied criminal justice at Wichita State University. Holsey served in the U.S. Navy from March 1966 to May 1970, most recently having served as a hospital corpsman. Prior to joining the Patrol, Holsey was a lieutenant with the Department of Public Safety in El Dorado.
