Rose Retires from the Patrol

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Master Trooper Maurey J. Rose retired from the Patrol on December 16, 2006. Master Trooper Rose served the citizens of Kansas for over 28 years.
Rose joined the Kansas Highway Patrol as a trooper in June 1978 and was assigned to road patrol duties in the Minneapolis area. He transferred to patrol the Manhattan area in 1989. Rose was promoted to master trooper in 1992 and continued to serve in the Manhattan area. As a member of the Patrol, Rose was the range master for Troop C (north central Kansas) from 1998 until his retirement.
Rose is a graduate of Abilene High School in Abilene, Kan., and he has a bachelor's of science degree in wildlife biology from Kansas State University.
The Patrol wishes Maurey the best in his retirement!
