Hill Promoted to Communications Specialist Supervisor

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced Kimberly A. Hill was promoted to Communications Specialist Supervisor on November 19, 2006.

Hill began her employment with the Patrol on June 19, 2000, as a Communications Specialist I at the Patrol's Central Communications Center in Salina. She was promoted to Communications Specialist II in June 2002. Hill worked as a dispatcher for the Salina Police Department from 2002 to 2004, and returned to the Patrol as a Communications Specialist II in October 2004. She was promoted to Communications Specialist Supervisor in November.

During the 2005 holiday season, volunteering members of the PMCA of Kansas gave 96 coupons and two $25 gift certificates for free tanks of fuel. The donation provided more than 1,450 gallons of gas. At approximately $2.25 per gallon (last year's cost), their contributions may have added up to as much as $3,312.50 in savings to the State of Kansas.

As a member of the Patrol, Hill has trained new communications specialists for the Kansas City and Wichita areas, and frequently served as a lead worker in addition to her other communications duties.
