EMDT Survey Results

During the last year, the Kansas Highway Patrol has looked into acquiring Electro-Muscular Disruption Technology (EMDT) devices. These devices use a high-voltage, low power charge of electricity to induce involuntary muscle contractions causing a subject to be temporarily incapacitated. Examples of EMDT devices include traditional stun guns, TASERS® and Stinger® Handheld Projectile Stun Guns.

Over the last 60 days, the Patrol has asked for feedback from the public in the form of an online survey. Following are the results from that survey.
