Kennedy Promoted to Lieutenant

Lieutenant Thomas Kennedy

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Thomas L. Kennedy was promoted to lieutenant on June 17, 2007.

Kennedy joined the Kansas Highway Patrol on June 18, 1989, and was assigned road patrol duties in the Dodge City area. In May 2001, he was promoted to master trooper and continued his road patrol duties. As a lieutenant, Kennedy will be a zone supervisor in the Dodge City area. As a member of the Patrol, Kennedy was certified by the Transportation Safety Institute as a Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Level I inspector from 1994 to 1996.

Kennedy is a graduate of Russell High School in Russell, Kan. Prior to joining the Patrol, he was a patrolman for the Russell Police Department.
