Wilson County Receives New Trooper

Trooper Jason Bailey

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Jason S. Bailey to Wilson County. Trooper Bailey received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Bailey graduated from Independence High School in Independence, Kan. He has served in the U.S. Army Reserve since December 2000 and currently holds the rank of sergeant. Prior to joining the Patrol, Bailey was a service writer for Quality Toyota and owner of Quality Wrecker Service, both in Independence.

Trooper Bailey has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Luke Wagner. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Bailey will assume patrol duties in Wilson County.
