Johnson and Wyandotte Counties Receives New Trooper
Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper William N. Jenkins to Johnson and Wyandotte counties. Trooper Jenkins received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.
Trooper Jenkins graduated from Blue Springs South High School in Blue Springs, Missouri. He earned an associate's degree in military science from Wentworth Military Academy and a bachelor's of science in criminal justice from Central Missouri State University. Jenkins has served in the U.S. Army since June 1999 and currently is a captain in the Infantry. Prior to joining the Patrol, Jenkins was a technical support supervisor at H&R Block in Kansas City, Missouri.
Trooper Jenkins has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Jesse Johnson. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Jenkins will assume patrol duties in Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
