Johnson and Wyandotte Counties Receive New Trooper

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Jason D. Jennings to Johnson and Wyandotte counties. Trooper Jennings received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.
Trooper Jennings graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School in Overland Park, Kan. He served in the Kansas Army National Guard from 2000 through 2006, most recently holding the rank of sergeant E-5 and Blackhawk crew chief. Prior to joining the Patrol, Jennings was a public safety officer with the Gardner Department of Public Safety for two years.
Trooper Jennings has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Sean Hankins. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Jennings will assume patrol duties in Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
