Osage County Receives New Trooper

Trooper Dax Lewis

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Dax K. Lewis to Osage County. Trooper Lewis received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Lewis is a graduate of Burlingame High School in Burlingame, Kan. Prior to joining the Patrol, he was a deputy sheriff for the Osage County Sheriff's Office. Lewis was a field training officer and use of force instructor while at the Osage County Sheriff's Office.

Trooper Lewis has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Lane Larimer. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Lewis will assume patrol duties in Osage County.
