Sedgwick County Receives New Trooper

Trooper Chad Moore

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Chad B. Moore to Sedgwick County. Trooper Moore received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Moore graduated from Belle Plaine High School in Belle Plaine, Kan., and studied criminal justice at Southwestern College and Cowley County Community College. His previous law enforcement experience includes corrections officer, deputy, dog handler, and SWAT Team member at the Sumner County Sheriff's Office and police officer with the Salina Police Department.

Trooper Moore has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Tom Spencer. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Moore will assume patrol duties in Sedgwick County.
