Sedgwick County Receives New Trooper

Trooper Tyler Richecky

Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Tyler R. Richecky to Sedgwick County. Trooper Richecky received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Richecky graduated from Wichita High School South in Wichita, Kan., and he earned a bachelor’s of science in criminal justice from Wichita State University. Prior to joining the Patrol, Richecky was a safety and security officer at Wichita State University.

Trooper Richecky has begun his field duties under the supervision of Master Trooper Raul Carrillo. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Richecky will assume patrol duties in Sedgwick County.
