Holzmeister Promoted to HR Director
Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Karen L. Holzmeister was promoted to director of human resources on December 2, 2007.
Holzmeister began working for the State of Kansas in 1977 as an office assistant IV in the Human Resources Department at the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services. She transferred to the Human Resources Department at the Kansas Department of Administration in 1987, where she was employed as an office specialist. Holzmeister joined the Patrol in June 1992 as a human resource professional II, and she was promoted in 2003 to human resource professional III.
Holzmeister is a graduate of Topeka High School. She studied business at Washburn University, and she is a certified public manager.
