Oxford Promoted to Law Enforcement Officer I
Colonel William Seck, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Tyson B. Oxford was promoted to Law Enforcement Officer I on December 16, 2007.
Oxford joined the Patrol in October 2004 as a Motor Carrier Inspector I (MCI) and was assigned to the South Haven port of entry. In 2006, he was promoted to MCI II and continued his duties at South Haven. Oxford was promoted in December 2007 to Law Enforcement Officer I, and his new duties include supervising motor carrier inspectors at South Haven.
Oxford is a graduate of West Elk High School in Howard, Kansas. He attended Wichita Area Technical College where he completed their commercial driver education program and received his commercial driver’s license. Prior to joining the Patrol, Oxford was a truck driver for Kenco Trucking in Wichita, Kansas.
