Patrol Superintendent Releases Annual Report

Colonel Terry Maple, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, released the agency's 2007 Annual Report on March 25, 2008. The report highlights the agency's activities and accomplishments during the 2007 calendar year.

The Annual Report features the agency's 70th anniversary in 2007, including information about anniversary celebrations and historical items from the past seven decades. In addition to the anniversary, several large-scale natural disasters and technological advancements that had significant affects on the Patrol are outlined in the report, as well as information about the agency's day-to-day operations.

"Natural disasters and other significant events kept the Patrol quite busy in 2007, and I am proud of the work demonstrated by the agency's personnel," said Patrol Superintendent Terry Maple. "The annual report demonstrates the agency's commitment to public service and our efforts to meet and exceed the expectations of our mission statement to provide Service, Courtesy, and Protection to all those who live and travel in Kansas."

In keeping with the provisions of Senate Bill 357, the annual report is available to the public online at www.kansashighwaypatrol.org. Senate Bill 357 was enacted in 2007 and prohibits state agencies from printing annual reports in fiscal year 2008, other than printing a limited number for historical and archival purposes.
