Ambulance Crews Called to KHP Headquarters
Ambulance and fire crews were called to the Kansas Highway Patrol General Headquarters shortly after 4 p.m., today, after two people were injured while performing outdoor repairs on the building. The workers, employed through Jayhawk Tower Partners, LLC, were performing general outdoor repairs on the building when the scaffolding partially collapsed. At this time, it is not known why the scaffolding fell. The workers were transported by American Medical Response.
"The Kansas Highway Patrol is concerned for the health and well-being of these workers, and we all wish them a quick recovery," said Highway Patrol Superintendent Colonel Terry L. Maple.
The three-story building is located at 122 SW 7th, and is managed by Parrish Management Corporation. The Kansas Highway Patrol leases the building through Parrish Management Corporation and the Elks Building Partners, LLC, who are the owners.
