Republic County Receives New Trooper

Colonel Terry Maple, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Rodney D. King to Republic County. Trooper King received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.
Trooper King graduated from Hartford High School in Hartford, Ark. Prior to joining the Patrol he was a corrections officer at the Lansing Correctional Facility. King has also been a store manager at Auto Zone, served as a firefighter, and worked for EMS.
Trooper King has begun his field duties under the supervision of Master Trooper Nigel Primeaux. Upon completion of field training, Trooper King will assume patrol duties in Republic County.
