Ford County Receives New Trooper

Trooper Jeremiah Proberts

Colonel Terry Maple, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Jeremiah E. Proberts to Ford County. Trooper Proberts received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol’s Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Proberts graduated from Kinsley High School in Kinsley, Kan., and he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Fort Hays State University.  Prior to joining the Patrol, Proberts was an assistant manager at the Wal-Mart in Hays, Kan.

Trooper Proberts has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Stephen Schneider.  Upon completion of field training, Trooper Proberts will assume patrol duties in Ford County.
