Keesling Retires from Highway Patrol

Technical Trooper Michael Keesling

Colonel Terry L. Maple, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Technical Trooper Michael D. Keesling retired from the Patrol on June 13, 2008. He served the citizens of Kansas for more than 31 years.

Keesling joined the Patrol on December 18, 1976, and was assigned to road patrol duties in the Chanute area. He transferred to the Kansas Turnpike in 1989 and patrolled in the Emporia area. In 1996, Keesling joined the Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force based in Garden City. He served on the task force until his retirement.
