Selle Retires from Patrol

Colonel Terry L. Maple, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has announced that Motor Carrier Inspection Officer Earl Selle, Sr. retired from the Patrol on December 12, 2008. He served the citizens of Kansas for over 20 years.
Selle joined the Patrol on November 7, 1988 as a Motor Carrier Inspector III in the Ottawa area. In 1990, Selle transferred from Ottawa to the Horton area. In 2005, he was reallocated to Law Enforcement Officer II.
Selle graduated from Powhattan High School in Powhattan, Kansas. From July 1968 to July 1970, he served as a Corporal with the United States Marine Corps. Then, from July 1970 to September 1982, Selle served as a Sergeant with the United States Army National Guard. In both positions he served as a truck driver. Prior to joining the Patrol, Selle also served as the city of Horton's Assistant Chief of Police.
The Patrol wishes Earl the best in his retirement and future endeavors.
