Johnson/Wyandotte Counties Receive New Trooper

Colonel Terry Maple, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Robert C. Voigts to Johnson and Wyandotte counties. Trooper Voigts received the assignment following the completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.

Voigts graduated from Olathe North High School, and attended Johnson County Community College, where he received an associate of arts degree in the administration of justice. Currently, Voigts is working on his sociology degree through the University of Kansas.

Trooper Voigts has begun his field training duties under the supervision of Master Trooper Michael Gruber. Upon completion of his field training duties, Voigts will assume patrol duties in Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
