Johnson and Wyandotte Counties Receive New Trooper

Colonel Terry Maple, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper James D. Phillips to Johnson and Wyandotte counties. Trooper Phillips received the assignment following the completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement training course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.
Phillips is a graduate of Elkhart High School. He received an associate of science degree in business from Allen County Community College in Iola, Kan. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from DeVry University in Kansas City.
Trooper Phillips has begun field training duties under the supervision of Trooper Eric Murray. Upon completion of his field training, Trooper Phillips will assume patrol of Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
