Sedgwick County Receives New Trooper

Trooper Moser

Colonel Terry Maple, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Darren R.F. Moser to Sedgwick County. Trooper Moser received the assignment at the completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol’s Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Moser was born in Ladysmith, Wis. He attended high school at Pond Creek-Hunter High School, in Pond Creek, Okla. After high school, Moser attended Wichita State University, where he received a bachelor’s of science in criminal justice degree. Prior to joining the Patrol, Moser was a corrections worker for Sedgwick County, in Wichita, Kan.

Trooper Moser has begun his field training duties in Sedgwick County under the supervision of Trooper Jason Hoffman. Upon completion of field training, Trooper Moser will assume patrol duties in Sedgwick County.
