Allen County Receives New Trooper

Trooper Woods

Colonel Terry Maple, Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Christopher B. Woods to Allen County. Trooper Woods received the assignment following the completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's Training Academy in Salina.

Trooper Woods graduated from Humboldt High School, in Humboldt, Kan. Woods received an Associate of Arts degree from Allen County Community College. He attended Pittsburg State University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Prior to joining the Patrol, Woods was a police officer for both the Pittsburg Police Department, in Pittsburg, Kan., and for the Springfield, Mo. Police Department.

Trooper Woods has begun his field training duties under the supervision of Trooper Shawn Hines. Upon completion of his field training, Woods will assume Patrol duties in Allen County.
