Patrol Reports Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend Activity

KHP personnel assisted 1,164 motorists over the holiday reporting period

The Kansas Highway Patrol is releasing its Thanksgiving holiday activity. The reporting period for the holiday weekend ran from 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013.

During that time, the Patrol worked two fatal crashes, which resulted in two deaths. Neither of the fatal crashes were DUI-related.

Information in the table is compared to the Thanksgiving holiday periods since 2010. All had similar reporting periods, from 6:00 p.m. the Wednesday prior to the holiday, through the Sunday following the Thanksgiving holiday.
