The North Region includes Troop C, which consists of 18 counties in north central Kansas; Troop D, which consists of 18 counties in northwest Kansas; Troop G – Kansas Turnpike; Troop I, which includes the Critical Highway Accident Response Team (CHART), Motor Carrier Inspectors (MCI) and Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP); and Facilities (Salina).
The region is home to several community, private and public universities, including Kansas State University.
Troop C consists of 18 counties in north central-Kansas. Its headquarters share the former Marymount College campus in Salina with the Training Academy (Troop J), and some of its members assist with training.
Troop G personnel are assigned to the Kansas Turnpike. The Turnpike traverses through Kansas from the Oklahoma border, through Wichita, the Flint Hills, Emporia, Topeka, and to Kansas City. Along the way, 2 destination casinos may be found on the route.
