2016-18 KHP Troopers Return from Assisting with RNC in Cleveland
The Kansas Highway Patrol has issued a media release:
This past Friday, July 22, the 26 troopers the Kansas Highway Patrol sent to Cleveland to assist with the Republican National Convention returned to the state safely. The KHP joined several other agencies from across the country to provide support and assistance to the city of Cleveland and to the Ohio State Highway Patrol as part of an Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) request for mutual aid. While they were in Cleveland, personnel gained valuable experience for events such as these. While assisting, no Kansas Highway Patrol troopers were injured in the events or demonstrations.
